The Ottawa Historical Fencing Society is proud to be Ottawa’s premier Historical Fencing organization. We have been training students in the National Capital Region since 1999.

News:

Hey folks! It's September, and while we're in between class sessions as we look for indoor locations, we thought we'd throw a couple "Fight Night" style events! September 11th, 18th, & 25th OHFS Fight Night!… Afternoon. From 1pm-5pm at the field at 1645 Woodroffe Ave, same place as last round of classes. These are events open to folks who have taken at least one course in a Historical Fencing school in the area, and want to spar or drill with other folks! We have the option of renting our class gear for folks that don't have their own and would like to drill or slow spar with dussaks as well! Our permit allows us to have 15 total guests per day so slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority being given to those folks paying for all three event days in advance. Sparring will only be allowed by folks with the proper tournament-style gear. Anyone else will be told to drill, discuss or light spar with safe weapons like the dussaks. Finally, as with anything else right now, COVID rules apply. Whether vaccinated or not, attendees are to wear a mask at all times, and distance their gear from each other by at least two meters. If you are un-vaccinated, please consider skipping these events!SIGN UP HERE: www.ohfs.ca/events/ ... See MoreSee Less
